St Paul: Social Klutz --- A Rejoinder

If one has to explain his joke, perhaps it wasn't that funny in the first place. The St Paul post below where I "exegete" St Paul to "demonstrate" his lack of social skills is meant as parody, not anything serious.

Perhaps I miscalculated the "obviousness" of the parody!

Most people don't have a developed sense of humor. It comes from claiming to be a Christian and then watching "Will and Grace" or "reality" TV rather than developing the fruits of the spirit.

Don't apologize for your jokes because one heckler doesn't "get it". That's like McDonalds adding "Chicken Select" strips to try to combat the effects of the movie "Super Size Me".

Some people think that any sort of joke involving Scripture is de facto EEEVIL.

I do not. Well, I discern between Jokes. I hope no-one would object to my joke about books: 'Now abideth these three: old, tatty and cheap; and the greatest of these is cheap.' (With apologies to Rev. Joseph Parker)

Well the post was typed with a very light spirit, the whole semi-dissing of Epaphroditus did jump out at me for whatever reason.

I thought it was funny, sigh. I suppose I need to study more Seinfeld episodes. ["And WHAT'S the deal with Epaphroditus?"]
