I am very pleased to be one of your "inspirational figures." What makes it even better is that my co-hort, Augustine (aka Gus) is not one. He is very jealous of my status.

By the way, who is this "Taffy"? She sounds like someone I would like to meet.

Thomas --- it is an honor to have you drop by, though it must be hard to type with paws.

Perhaps if Diane sent me a pic of Augustine, I could add him to the list.

As for Taffy, she is alas, a hypotehtical construct used to try to get across the points that, to me, Roman distinctions are quite often purely formal, lacking any sort of practical utility. And, even were she real, she's already had kittens, so there's a real baggage factor that a Tabby Philosopher like you should avoid!

So please tell Diane to feel free to send some Gus icons.

I was happy to put in a comment (which must always be short since paw typing is difficult).

Diane claims that she'll send you some pics of Gus (and more of me) sometime this weekend. She says she's very busy at work trying to print out 30,000 cards, but I don't know if I believe her. She just leaves early in the morning and comes home late (which means I get fed late). It's a good thing that she leaves us plenty of dry food.

Too bad that Taffy is hypothetical. I would love to have met a cat like her.

O Great and Learned Thomas:

I have been to Diane's office, and, I can assure you that "work" isn't the first term that would come to mind in describing her actions. Given that Diane reads this blog and has an older brother who can rearrange my face, I cannot go into any more specific a description than that.

But, as a favor for Diane, who has been with PP since the very beginning --- strange that an RC claims to have been my most faithful reader! --- I shall post pics of the true St Augustine once they arrive in the mail.

Until then, you have the distinct honor of being the only tomcat in the PP Inspriational Hall O' Fame.
And, even after little Gus goes up, you'll still be the only grey tabby in the Hall. Still, quite an honor. Think about that as you gobble down your Cap'ns Seafood Platter from the PP Catfood Dish.
