Reader aPPreciation Day

Every October 3rd the writers and staff at PP acknowledge the readers who grace this site with their presence, often suffering through a PP popoff session or some post that more than justifies the first P in PP.

Special acknowledgement goes to a certain Polish Papist named Diane, who has been here from the very beginning. I'd like to think that her being my landlady for several years during my prof days has nothing do with her reading; I'd like to think she reads because the quality of my Protestant argumentation is so overwhelming that she is attracted to its glorious luminescence, but that might be stretching things a bit. Anyway, she gets a special PP shout out from the West Coast, having been lurking since PP was in larval form. This woman put up with me in person for six years!

We also send some thanks to the Turkoman, who was nice enough to design some comic-book covers for this site, which we all know is still mud-fence ugly, though much better than before the covers.

Anyway, to all regular readers in general, we here at PP --- and this means both the editorial, research and writings staffs, not to mention the omnipresent Marketing Arm, janitorial staff, the interns, the guy who fixes the Xerox machine, as well as the BOD and all stockholders --- wish to thank the readers for dropping by, and we hope that more often than not the few minutes spent here are a good waste of time and not a bad waste of time. That is, when the boss catches you surfing at this site while you're supposed to be at your desk working and then proceeds to fire you, we hope that you view getting your PP fix as having been worth it!

Group hug, all!

Thank you for realizing that without your faithful readers, your blog would not have grown in the directions that it has.

However, you have two faithful readers who were also with you in the beginning that are hurt that you didn't mention them (Gus and Thomas).

Tell Gussie and Thom that there will always be a place in my crock-pot for them. And, to boot, what about the Cat'lic magisterium post dedicated just to them?

They don't want a place in your crock-pot, all they want is a little appreciation.

And, while they liked the Cat'lic post that was all about them, it was so long ago that they feel you've forgotten them.

If you have more pictures of St Thomas and St Augustine, please send them. We'll make them feel wanted, although you'd think Thomas would be happy knowing that there's an 8-piece Tabby Bucket with his name on it. Mmmmmmmm.
